Attic rooms with painted walls, big glass windows and wooden floors are not great for audio quality! So something had to be done!
The answer was a curtain and blinds.
The blind was pretty straightforward. The curtain less so. It hangs from the ceiling and divides the room in two – making the studio part smaller.
It was a bit of a challenge for the blinds company, and they came out for a second visit to check the measurements.
However, the fitter was great (I think he enjoyed the challenge) and did a fantastic job.
The studio now looks really professional once the curtain is drawn across, and the difference in audio quality is significant.
A carpet is still on the list, but in the meantime, I am using a lot of towels and fluffy fabric to cover up the floor and the metal filing cupboard.
We are getting there!
