Traditional, British, warm & friendly

A voice artist must have a proper studio and so this has been my focus recently.

My previous computer was some 8 years old so I decided to invest in a new one.  This was built for me by PC Specialist and is a considerable upgrade on my old machine.   It runs Windows 11 and has Adobe Audition for recording and editing.

Plus it came in a big tower case and has lots of fancy flashing lights, which is pretty cool.

I currently have a Rode NTG4+ shotgun mike.

Getting the sound right

Having got my computer sorted the other big thing is the audio quality in my studio.  It is a big attic room with wooden floors and painted walls which is not ideal!

So we got in our local blinds company, and they are going to fit a new blind on the windows and a curtain around my recording space which will hopefully improve things.

I also need to get a new (preferably fluffy, I am advised) carpet.  It’s on the list!

Patrick's Resume

Patrick Gee • Voice Artist
Traditional, British, warm & friendly

I’m Patrick Gee, a professional British voice actor. I have a warm and friendly baritone voice, ideal for corporate commercial work, audiobooks, eLearning and video characters.

Acting and voices were a big part of my childhood. As well as making up and acting out stories with my grandmother, I also attended drama classes and studied for the LAMDA speech and drama certificates,

I reached the Bronze Medal stage for acting solo, but then decided to focus more on the production side. So after leaving school, I attended three years at City College Norwich, where I studied performing arts production and creative media.

Since leaving college, I have worked for the family business, Landlord Law services, where I was responsible for filming and recording training courses and doing various other film and editing work.

However, I never lost my love of acting and my passion for voice work. Eventually, I could deny this no longer and so embarked on the training and investment in studio equipment to allow me to follow my passion.

When not working, I love playing Dungeons and Dragons, where my voices have proved very useful for bringing my scenarios to life and amusing my friends.
